A classic to kick off the holiday season! I made a discovery this week. A lot of my cookies have turned out pretty cakey, which I don't like. I think the reason is because I've been using too much flour - not by measuring wrong, but by not weighing my ingredients and using cups for the flour. Luckily I was able to grab a food scale on Black Friday so we'll see if that solves future issues!

Texture aside, this recipe from Modern Honey turned out delicious. One thing I've started doing the last couple weeks is banging the pan on the counter after I remove them from the over, it makes them a little flatter and less puffy.
