WEEK 17: CHEWY SALTED CARAMEL COOKIES

So nice I made them twice! These cookies were extra delicious because I did homemade caramels instead of store bought. I was worried they would be a little crispy, but they are chewy and delicious. AJ loved them so much he requested a second batch! They were really easy - a basic sugar cookie dough with a caramel sandwiched in between. I found that flattening the caramel made for a more visually appealing cookie, but the flavor was excellent either way.
